Create a General Task (No Checklist or POAM)


  1. Go to Home > Tasks to create a general task (used for critical tasks that do not involve a checklist such as a permit reissue deadline).

  2. Click on Create Task to open the Create Task form.

  3. Complete the required fields (indicated by an asterisk) and any other information desired. Select “This task is critical” if, for example, the task is associated with a compliance requirement (i.e., there is a legal risk associated with not completing the task on time). Select “Send email notification upon submission” if the task is assigned to someone else.

  4. Click on Save Task to save the new task and navigate to its profile page.

  5. Once in the profile page, click on the Tasks profile icon and select Alerts if you wish to add alerts associated with the status of the task. When an alert is tripped, the person assigned the alert will receive an email notification.

  6. Go to the Tasks profile icon and click on Profile to return to the task profile page.

  7. On the right side of the profile page there are a variety of operational icons including Make Recurring, which enables you to make the task repetitive over a defined time interval.

  8. Comments and files can be uploaded within the task profile page.

  9. If you wish to send a reminder in the form of an email to the person assigned the task, click on Remind at the top of the profile page.
