The Media Statistics page displays a grid of all Media and the number of related Practices, Aspects, Equipment, Checklists, Findings, Permits, and Scheduled Items. Clicking on a specific Media reveals another breakdown of summary data by types of checklists/evaluations and provides a summary of the number of Documents related to the Media by document category.
Query icon:
The Query icon and its dropdown menu are found to the right and directly above all major grids. The Query icon opens the query form where queries of the data in the grid beneath are performed.
If you wish to save a query for use in the future, immediately click on the
Active Query icon and a "Save As" link will appear on the top right of the Query form. Click on "Save As", name the query and click "Save". The name of the query will now appear under the Query icon dropdown. To activate the saved query, click on the triangle to the right of the icon and select the query. This is a friendly method to make frequently used queries easy to access with just a single click of the mouse.
Print icon:
The Print icon and its dropdown menu are found next to the Query icon directly above all major grids. The Print icon opens the print form where exports of the data in the grid beneath are performed.
Query Media Statistics Grid Form
Description
The Query Media Statistics Grid Form allows you to query/filter data in the grid by specific fields. Once you enter text into one or more fields, click on “Search”, and the grid will filter to reveal your queried data.
Definitions
- Media Name: This field filters for the name of the Media.
- Practices: This field filters for the number of Practices. A Practice is a process, action, or function with environmental aspects that can have an impact on environmental resources. Practices may impact other resources as well. Practices include the unit processes used to complete mission functions (e.g., degreasing of parts, oil and lubricant changes, battery recharging, refrigerant capture and replacement to support vehicle maintenance, etc.) and their associated physical controls (e.g., berms, oil/water separators, or alarms). A practice often includes multiple processes, personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Aspects: This field filters for the number of Aspects. An Aspect is a characteristic of a practice that can cause, in normal operation or upset mode, an impact to an environmental or other resource. Each Practice may have several Aspects. Typical Aspects of Practices operated on Navy installations include: spill/release, air release, hazardous material use, hazardous waste generation, solid waste generation, medical waste generation, noise, electricity use, fuel use, and physical presence (in environmentally sensitive locations).
- Equipment: This field filters for the number of Equipment/Resources. Equipment can be a physical piece of equipment or resource (such as personnel).
- Checklists: This field filters for the number of Checklists. A Checklist is a list of related questions for the purpose of carrying out inspections or audits.
- Findings: This field filters for the number of Findings. A Finding is created when objective evidence of a nonconformity is found, or when an Observation needs to be documented.
- Permits: This field filters for the number of Permits. A Permit is an authorization, license, or equivalent control document issued by an approved federal, state or local agency to implement the requirements of an environmental regulation.
- Schedule Items: This field filters for the number of Scheduled Items. Schedule Items include those items scheduled within the system for execution including audits, inspections and checklists. For recurring items, each occurence of a scheduled item will appear; therefore, there will be multiple scheduled items for recurring items.
