Add / Edit POAM Form

Description

This form is used to Add POAMs or Edit POAMs. A POAM (Plan of Action & Milestones) provides proposed corrective actions, process improvements, and schedules to address a nonconformance or deficiency and its root cause(s). The documentation also serves as a record of completed corrective actions and to verify problems are resolved.

POAMs can be independent or related to an O&T or Finding and can be accessed from the POAMs grid. Each Milestone within a POAM can be assigned to a different user to track their progress. The assigned users receive emails alerting them to the new assignment. They can access the item via their Tasks grid and work towards completing their Milestones, which eventually completes the POAM. The POAM Progress is calculated from the average progress values of all assigned Milestones.

Note: At least one Milestone must be created to affect the Progress value of the POAM.

The great advantage of using a POAM (as opposed to a general Task) is the ability to track the progress of multiple people assigned various Milestones within a POAM. Alerts can be associated with each Milestone Target Date to notify you if the Milestone is not completed by the Target Date.

Note: POAMs, Milestones, and Alerts can only be managed and/or assigned to people that have an EMSWeb user account. Contact your Organization Administrator if a New User needs to be added to the system.
