Description
This form is used to Add Permits or Edit Permits. A Permit is an authorization, license, or equivalent control document issued by an approved federal, state, or local agency to implement the requirements of an environmental regulation.
Definitions
- Related Equipment: This field can be used to form a relationship between the specific equipment and the permit that covers that equipment.
- Practice: A process, action, or function with environmental aspects that can have an impact on environmental resources. Practices may impact other resources as well. Practices include the unit processes used to complete mission functions (e.g., degreasing of parts, oil and lubricant changes, battery recharging, refrigerant capture and replacement to support vehicle maintenance, etc.) and their associated physical controls (e.g., berms, oil/water separators, or alarms). A practice often includes multiple processes, personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Permit #: The Permit # of the permit.
- Permit Name: The official name of the permit, which will be displayed on EMSWeb.
- Description: A description of the permit details.
- Issuing Agency: The agency that issued the permit.
- Issued: The date that the permit was issued.
- Expires: When the permit is scheduled to expire.
- Responsible Manager: The POC that is responsible for the permit.
- Media: Specific areas of the environmental field typically defined according to environmental programs such as air, water, tanks -- which are the subject of regulatory concern and activities.
